Ruth Jäkel
My grandmother Ruth Jäkel (1914-2001) created children's books for my mother after the war. "Die Himmelsleiter" was published in a limited edition in 2001. From 1953-1955, she also wrote and illustrated stories for a newspaper in Schmölln/Thüringen, under the name "Jäkeline".
